The surge sea kayak is one of a kind, originally i designed this kayak to ride tide races, big surf, over flows, choppy moving water, and coastal paddling rock hopping and more, but it’s truly surpassed expectations it’s now used as a weekend or day kayak, even used to circumnavigate and multi day trips loaded with camping gear, the low deck stops the extreme rocker from weather cocking, it turns almost on the spot, such a playful kayak and super stable, directional on surfing waves, easy to roll, can edge literally on its side before it finds its tipping point, and surprising fast for a kayak with plenty of rocker this is down to the hull with the sharp v shape keel and the cutting edge hull shape.
